At 9-2-3 Jobs, we are big advocates for the power of remote work. We know that flexibility leads to happier, more productive teams. However, we also know that when a fully remote team finally gets together in person, the energy is unmatched.
Last week, the 9-2-3 team stepped away from our screens and headed to the heart of London for a team-building day like no other: The Traitors Live experience.
From Headhunters to Traitor Hunters... The day was a whirlwind of high-stakes missions, secret alliances, and the infamous Round Table. Our daily lives are spent identifying the perfect "fit" for businesses, so we walked into the room fairly confident. We’re experts at reading people, spotting talent, and assessing character - surely sniffing out a Traitor would be second nature?
We couldn't have been more wrong!
As it turns out, there is a significant difference between spotting a great CV and spotting a "murderer" in the room! Despite our profession, the team fell victim to some masterclass deception.
While the rest of us were busy banishing innocent Faithfuls, our very own Rachael was playing a blinder. She successfully navigated the suspicion, outmaneuvered the group, and walked away with the crown. We’re still debating whether we should be impressed or slightly worried about her poker face!
Why Face-to-Face Time Matters for Remote Teams...
While we love the freedom that 9-2-3 working hours and remote setups provide, days like this remind us why "culture" isn't just a buzzword.
Working remotely means that when we do get together, it isn't just another day at the office - it’s an event. Spending the day laughing, strategizing, and (occasionally) betraying each other in the name of fun strengthens the bonds that keep us collaborative and motivated when we’re back at our respective home offices.
It was a fabulous day out in London, a brilliant team-bonding experience, and a reminder that while we might not be the best Traitor-hunters in the UK, we’re still a world-class team when it comes to recruitment.
