Last week, in celebration of International Women's Month, our founder Helen Wright went to speak to 100 Year 8 students to talk to the next generation of leaders about a simple truth: If the system is broken, you don't have to fit into it. You can fix it.
She shared and celebrated case studies of powerhouse female founders from Louise Hill who saw that pocket money was stuck in the past, so she built GoHenry; to Melanie Perkins who felt that design software was too exclusive - so she built Canva.
At 9-2-3 Jobs, our "fix" is personal. We saw a world where brilliant, experienced professionals were being lost to the workforce because the "9-to-5" model was outdated and inflexible. We didn't just want to watch that happen; so we built a business to bridge that gap.
Seeing these Year 8 girls already spotting "gaps" in the world and dreaming up solutions was incredibly inspiring. Our mission is to ensure that by the time they enter the workforce, flexibility isn't a "favour" - it's the standard.
Thank you for having us Oxford High School!
